It’s the day of Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival!

Hoshinoko kids enjoyed the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi, the two stars who only meet only once a year on this magical night. We talked about the beautiful legend and how families in Japan celebrate by writing wishes on colorful papers and decorating them with bamboo leaves. Tanabata teaches us to wish, hope, and dream, and we hope those dreams take flight like stars in the night sky.

七夕の魔法と願い

今日は七夕祭りの日です！ ホシノコの子どもたちは、織姫と彦星の物語を楽しみました。この二つの星は、この魔法のような夜にだけ一年一度会うのです。私たちは、美しい伝説について話し、日本のご家庭が色とりどりの紙に願い事を書き、笹の葉に飾ることで祝う習慣について学びました。七夕は、願い、希望、夢を持つことを教えてくれます。私たちは、その夢が夜空の星のように羽ばたいていくことを願っています。
